Building Resilience in CA’s Restaurants

Over $11 million Awarded to More Than 2,000 Independent Restaurants Since 2021

PG&E is proud to support California’s restaurant community through our sponsorship of Restaurants Care, a program of the California Restaurant Foundation. Since 2021, the Restaurants Care Resilience Fund has awarded over $11 million to more than 2,000 independent restaurants, caterers, and food trucks across the state—helping local businesses grow and adapt.

Eligible businesses can apply for grants of up to $5,000 to support equipment upgrades, workforce development, technology enhancements, and unexpected hardships. The application window is open June 1–June 30, with awards announced in the fall. Restaurants Care does NOT guarantee assistance upon completion of a request, provide assistance due to unemployment, or due to loss of hours or income not directly caused by a qualifying crisis.

Year-Round General Hardship Grants for Food + Beverage Workers

Up to $2,500 for F+B workers during times of crisis.

If you’re a food + beverage worker in California and going through an unexpected illness, injury, death in the immediate family, natural disaster, or housing disaster, please apply here. All grant applications must be submitted online. The application is in English and Spanish.
