Contractor Connect Upcoming Port Of Oakland Bid Opportunities

Contractor Connect: The Port of Oakland in partnership with NAMC NorCal invites the local contracting community to learn about upcoming projects, connect with decision makers, and collaborate on future contracting opportunities.

If your firm performs any of the following scopes of work listed for the projects below, we encourage you to attend.

(1) Demolition of the OAK Aircraft Maintenance Facility Building M-110 (OMC) to make way for planned terminal moderation. Estimated Construction Value of $15 Million.  

Scopes of work:

  • Demolition of Existing Building M-110 OMC Hangar and Associated Ancillary Buildings to Top of Existing Concrete Slab.
  • Demolition of Existing Building Utilities to the top of existing concrete slab, with disconnected and/or abandoned utilities capped at the slab within the building, at the building perimeter, and at the furthest downstream point toward the street where feasible.
  • Modification of existing fencing (AOA and non-AOA) as required in coordination with demolition phasing plan.
  • Electrical demolition including verification and documentation of existing electrical systems, removal, abandonment, or preservation of affected electrical services and equipment, coordination of utility disconnects and outages, and temporary power as required to maintain systems remaining in service.  
  • Installation of parking lot lighting including new underground and overhead conduits/conductors and new light poles.

(2) 7th St. Port Circuit Upgrades Project. Estimated Construction Value of $7M.

Scopes of work:

  • Electrical and civil improvements include:
  • Removal of existing cables
  • Installation of new underground duct bank and conduits
  • Pulling new cables through existing and new underground conduits along with separable connectors as needed for cable pulling and project coordination
  • Replacement of existing relays with new
  • Removal and salvage of existing pad-mount switch and replace with underground vault

(3) SS-E-1 Matson and Roundhouse Port Circuit Project. Estimated Construction Value of $9M.

Scopes of work:

  • Electrical and civil improvements include:
  • Removal of existing medium voltage cable
  • Construction of new underground medium voltage conduit systems
  • Locating and repairing damaged conduit between 63MHP1 and PMH-5
  • Installation of new 12.47kV medium-voltage cable, separable connector splices and terminations
  • Installation of a new 12.47kV circuit breaker at SS-D-3 SG1 and SS-E-1
  • Upgrading relays at SS-D-3 SG1
  • Installation of two meter sockets and wiring at SS-E-1
  • Installation of a new four-way pad-mounted switch SG-E-3
  • Installation of double-leaf swing gate and bollards
  • Manhole repairs and labeling
  • NETA testing
